Dear Prospective Sponsor,

You are invited to partner with the Medicinal Herb Growing & Marketing Conference. This will be an historic event as the Northwest’s first conference centered around herb farmers. Although most participants will be from the Pacific Northwest, the documentation will be useful to herb growers around the US. We are setting the stage for a large face-to-face meeting of many actors in the Northwest herbal trade. The farmers are the stars of the show. We hope this year’s conference is the first of a continuing series.

A MHG&MC sponsorship is a great way to support this event and the herbal movement. Sponsorship funds expands our ability to bring in the best presenters, offer scholarships, do more documentation and in many ways help the conference be all that it can be.

We would like to form a symbiotic relationship with you by promoting your business while you help the convergence meet its goals through sponsorship. In exchange for your financial or in-kind contribution, you will receive benefits that include admission passes, promotion, acknowledgement, and space in our Herb Trade Show. Please review the following “Sponsor Levels and Benefits” information.

WHO: MHG&MC aims to attract 300+ people to the conference, herb farmers, herbal businesses, wildcrafters, herbalists and other members of the herb community. Many more people will see our Facebook page and our website (potentially with your name and logo). MHG&MC is an ideal venue for reaching the herbal community with your herbs, products, services or mission.

WHAT: MHG&MC will feature a wide range of workshops, presentations, round table discussions, working groups, meetings and an Herb Trade Show. We will share information, talk business, network, and work toward common goals. The conference will generate physical outcomes, growing contracts, strategies, alliances and plans that will serve the herbal community and society at large.

WHERE: Fort Worden is located in Port Townsend on the very northeast tip of the Olympia Peninsula where the deep waters of Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca meet. Fort Worden features seashore and forest, stunning views, a range of accommodations, good, local food, and lots of conference facilities.

HERB TRADE SHOW: The Trade Show will feature a wide array of herb farms, companies, organizations, services and products. MHG&MC sponsors are entitled to a space in the Expo to promote their goods, services, etc.

MHG&MC is being organized by me, Michael Pilarski, Friends of the Trees Society’s Director, and a crew of volunteers.  Friends of the Trees Society has been operating since 1978. I have organized many events including the Northwest Herbal Fair and the Montana Herb Gathering. I am an herb farmer and a professional wildcrafter, so the MHG&MC is a conference organized by an herb farmer for herb farmers.

IN-KIND SPONSORS: We can accept in-kind donations in lieu of cash for needed services or items, such as herbal beverages for the Saturday evening beverage tasting. Inquire.

Your support of the MHG&MC will greatly assist our ability to powerfully and effectively influence our communities and country towards more sane and sustainable health care. The world needs more herbal medicine made with high quality herbs grown by family farmers and it needs a general public that is more herb savvy, grows herbs at the home scale, and supports local herb farmers and companies.
