A message for Earth-friendly folks, The Ecosystem Restoration Camps are having a membership drive and I (Michael Pilarski) would like to put in a good word for them.

Ecosystem Restoration Camps are regenerative human settlements that exist to welcome and teach people about ecosystem restoration. Those that stay at the camps learn how to restore the natural and agricultural ecosystems around them through hands on experience of supporting farmers and landowners to regenerate their land.

The world could use thousands of such camps. I have been a contributing member for over a year. I happily pay $11 a month knowing that it goes to help fund their initial camp.

The founder of the camps is my earth repair hero, John D. Liu. I am delighted that Liu will be one of the keynote speakers at the Global Earth Repair Conference and the conference will have a track on setting up other camps around the world. I am also promoting the idea of Earth repair communities where the people get title to the land or long-term, 99-year stewardship contracts to live there while doing earth repair.
